Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor, producer and director. Her most prominent part is as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The seventh season of the show concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick got a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was an educator and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English origins. Sedgwick has openly declared her Jewish roots and stated that she is a part of Passover seders.
